Air Conditioner Repair Recommendation: Viking Air Solutions 5 Star Review provided by Rachell Lara Realtor for additional recommendations, reach out to Rachell Lara 619.316.7445 Air Conditioner Repair Recommendation: Viking Air Solutions I had the pleasure of working with Viking Air when an unexpected HVAC issue came up on a home inspection for my clients selling their house. The mini split in the ceiling didn't have a way to take care of the water condensation it there was a build and the switch didn't turn off properly. The first HVAC company we consulted suggested putting a drainage hole through the exterior wall, which seemed drastic when everyone was trying to minimize holes in homes to help keep houses stronger against wildfires. Something that is a big issue in San Diego, especially in more rural areas like Alpine. Seeking a second opinion, I contacted Viking Air. Many people sang their praises in the Loving Life Alpine Facebook Group. I'm so glad I did! Leif Larsen, the owner, responded incredibly promptly, which was a huge relief given our tight timeline. Viking Air's owner, Leif Larsen, assessed the situation and came up with an easy solution that not only saved my clients money but also prevented the need to cut another hole in their home's exterior. Their innovative approach and quick thinking made a difference. They saved my clients time and money and kept the home's structural integrity. It was a solution both the buyer and the seller of the Alpine Home could agree on. I am thoroughly impressed by Viking Air's professionalism and expertise. They went above and beyond to ensure a satisfactory outcome for everyone involved. I would highly recommend their services to anyone needing reliable and efficient HVAC solutions. Thank you, Viking Air, for your exceptional service! Dulzura, California Rural Living near San Diego. Find out what to do and what it is like calling Dulzura home. Written by Rachell Lara, San Diego Realtor. Dulzura, California Rural Living Just East of San Diego Dulzura, California, is a small rural town 40 minutes from Downtown San Diego. It is one of a string of towns located off the 94 Highway as you head east out of San Diego. Dulzura is situated outside of Jamul and is almost an extension of Jamul, probably the most considerable expanse of a community in San Diego's East County. Along 94 Highway, there are a string of other rural communities, Barrett Junction, Tecate-(which is both in the United States and across the border), Potrero, and Campo, then connects to Old Highway 80 in Boulevard, and then onto Jacumba before you pass out of San Diego County and onto the Imperial Valley. A Glimpse into Dulzura History Dulzura, a quaint, unincorporated community, dates back to the late 19th century. The name "Dulzura," meaning "sweetness" in Spanish, reflects the area's early agricultural heritage, particularly its beekeeping and honey production. The historic Dulzura Schoolhouse, built in 1906, is a testament to the community's enduring legacy and commitment to preserving its roots. It can feel like Dulzura didn't make it into the 21st century, and most of the community would probably agree that it is a good thing. There is no freeway to get you there faster; you have to travel the country highway 94 after it stops being a freeway. Just west of Dulzura is the larger community of Jamul. Where Jamul ends, and Dulzura gets a little fuzzy. Jamul is the larger community with more stores, restaurants, and amenities, including San Diego's newest casion, aptly named Jamul Casino. People who live in Dulzura shop in Jamul or, more probably, in Rancho San Diego. Jamul covers a lot of miles. Depending on where you are going and how well the road is maintained, it could take an hour to get from one part of Jamul to the other. Jamul's history is intertwined with Spanish land grants and ranching. The Rancho Jamul estate, established in the 19th century, played a significant role in the area's development. Today, Jamul blends its historical charm with modern amenities, offering residents a perfect balance of past and present. Dulzura Home Prices Dulzura is more affordable than most of San Diego County. Last month (May 2024) San Diego County reached an all high median home price 1, 088,750. Dulzura also reached a new high in May because a rare house (thoroughbred farm on 284 acres) sold at 1.4 million. The regulusual median home price for Dulzura is around $600,000 - $700,0000. Of course, since it is a small rural area, there aren't nearly as many choices in a home either. Price per square foot is around $300-400 is in the the high $500, getting close to $600. Jamul's media home price has been over a million since mid 2023 and has been over 1.1 million for the last three months and they have been in the low $400/square foot.
